Active Membership is the participation layer that connects several parts of the current Otter Oasis model. It works alongside Digital Participation Shares, the Rewards Pool and eligible Eco Rangers, but it does not give a member ownership of Otter Oasis, the Treasury, land or any future physical park.
The important point is that Membership no longer works through the old Reward Power or percentage-booster model. The current design uses clear membership tiers, Share Points (SP), monthly reference values and CBL amounts. This guide explains how that structure works while Otter Oasis remains in its Foundation Building Stage.
What Does Active Membership Do?
An Active Membership is a monthly participation option within the Otter Oasis ecosystem. Shares can still be held without Membership, so buying Digital Participation Shares does not force somebody to maintain a monthly plan.
However, under the current model, an Active Membership is required for the monthly SP reward calculation. The tier selected determines the reference value applied to each Share Point and also carries a monthly CBL amount.
Membership also connects to eligible Eco Rangers. A wallet with an Active Membership can currently have up to 10 Rangers eligible under the Ranger reward model. Those Ranger figures are reference values rather than guaranteed returns, and actual claimable amounts depend on the Rewards Pool and the rules operating at the time.
Choosing A Membership Tier
The current Otter Oasis design has five Membership tiers. Each tier has a monthly price, a monthly reference value for each SP and a CBL amount:
- Starter: $10/month, $0.15 per SP/month, $1 CBL/month
- Plus: $25/month, $0.20 per SP/month, $2 CBL/month
- Basic: $50/month, $0.30 per SP/month, $3 CBL/month
- Pro: $100/month, $0.35 per SP/month, $7.50 CBL/month
- Premium: $200/month, $0.50 per SP/month, $15 CBL/month
The higher tiers therefore use a higher monthly SP reference rate. These figures describe the current ecosystem design. They should not be read as a guaranteed yield, fixed investment return or promise of profit. For general guidance on cryptoasset risk, readers can also review the Financial Conduct Authority guidance on high-risk investments.

How Active Membership Works With Shares
Digital Participation Shares are participation units within the ecosystem. They are not company shares, equity, securities, voting rights or ownership of Otter Oasis or any future physical assets.
For the current monthly calculation, 5 Shares = 1 Share Point (SP). The number of SP is then used with the reference rate attached to the member's active tier.
For example, 100 Shares equal 20 SP. At the current Basic reference rate of $0.30 per SP per month, that gives a reference calculation of $6 for those 20 SP for that month. The same 20 SP at the Premium reference rate of $0.50 would give a $10 reference calculation.
Those examples explain the calculation only. They do not guarantee that a participant will receive those amounts. Actual claimable rewards depend on the Rewards Pool, amounts credited under the system and the applicable rules.

You can read the wider Shares structure in our Otter Oasis Shares Engine guide.
How Membership Works With Eco Rangers
Membership also provides the active layer for eligible Eco Rangers. Under the current design, up to 10 Rangers in a wallet can be eligible while the Membership is active.
The current planning reference is $5 per eligible Ranger per month. That means one eligible Ranger has a $5 monthly reference, five have a $25 reference and the maximum 10 have a $50 monthly reference.
Again, these are reference figures used by the current model, not guaranteed monthly income. The amount that can actually become claimable depends on the Rewards Pool and the system's available credited rewards.
This is very different from the earlier Otter Oasis concept where Rangers acted as percentage boosters to Reward Power. That old mechanism is no longer part of the current design.
How CBL Fits Into Active Membership
CBL stands for Community Booster Loyalties. It is a separate loyalty layer within the Otter Oasis Membership system. Each Membership tier includes a monthly CBL amount, with the current values running from $1 per month on Starter to $15 per month on Premium.
CBL is kept separate from the SP reward reference and the Eco Ranger reference calculation. In other words, we do not add the CBL figure to an advertised monthly return or present it as guaranteed cash income.

As Otter Oasis continues through development, the exact role and use of CBL should always be read from the latest ecosystem documentation and app rules. Keeping it separate here avoids turning a developing utility layer into a promise that the system does not make.
Where Membership Payments Go
Membership is also one of the funding sources that supports the wider Otter Oasis structure. Under the current model, primary Shares and Membership use the same allocation:
- 40% Rewards
- 10% Treasury
- 10% Bonds & Yield
- 35% Park Fund
- 5% Operations
This is why Membership is more than a switch for monthly calculations. Part of each payment is designed to support rewards, reserves, productive capital, future park funding and the operational costs of building the ecosystem.

Membership Does Not Create Ownership
An Active Membership does not make somebody a shareholder in a company and does not provide ownership of the Treasury, Park Fund, land, buildings or a future Otter Oasis Holiday Park.
The same distinction applies to Digital Participation Shares. Despite the word “Shares” in their name, they are ecosystem participation units rather than company equity.
That distinction matters because Otter Oasis is still being built. The app has been developed, but it has never been publicly released and nobody has participated in the live system. The physical park also remains a long-term vision, with no claim here that land has been acquired or planning permission secured.
Why Membership Is Part Of The Current Model
The purpose of Membership is to create a simple active participation layer instead of relying on the old Reward Power system. A participant can see the price of a tier, its SP reference rate and its CBL amount without needing to work through percentage multipliers.
At the same time, somebody who simply wants to hold Shares is not required to maintain Membership. The distinction between holding participation units and activating the monthly Membership layer makes the structure easier to understand.
Membership also gives Otter Oasis a recurring funding source for the wider ecosystem. However, the model can still evolve before public launch. If pricing, utility or calculations change, the website and ecosystem documentation will need to change with them.
Where The System Stands Today
Otter Oasis is currently in its Foundation Building Stage. That means we are building the ecosystem, testing the structure and documenting how each layer is intended to work before public participation begins.
For that reason, this page explains the current design, not a history of live Membership activity. There are no existing public members being moved from the old Reward Power model because the app was never publicly released.
That gives us the opportunity to remove outdated mechanics before launch and make the Membership system clearer from the beginning.
Final Thoughts
Active Membership now has a much clearer job inside Otter Oasis. Shares determine SP, the selected Membership tier determines the current monthly SP reference rate, Membership enables the eligible Ranger layer, and each tier carries its own CBL amount.
Most importantly, none of those reference figures should be confused with guaranteed returns. The Rewards Pool and the rules of the system ultimately determine what becomes claimable.
